Beliefs
We believe the Holy Spirit is still active and powerful today. At the same time, we do not believe the miraculous sign gifts — such as tongues, prophecy, and healing at the hands of individuals — are ongoing or normative for the church today. We understand the apostolic and prophetic offices to have belonged to the foundation of the early church, rather than continuing as offices today.
We are Spirit-led in all of Christian life, yet we believe the miraculous sign gifts were given for a unique time to establish the early church and confirm the gospel. They are not normative for today, though God remains sovereign and continues to work miraculously according to His will.
We hold that the miraculous gifts were given for the foundation of the early church, yet we trust the Spirit who still moves with power and grace. His greatest miracle is a changed heart and a life anchored in Christ.
